Bogdan Munteanu, an example of competence and quality

        Bogdan Munteanu lives in Cătămărești-Deal, Botosani county, and made his debut in the racing pigeon sport in 2012. He competes for the categories with marathon stages and, based on a simple but faithfully implemented system, he managed to become a important pigeon fancier in his county and to accumulate a nice records.

         In the decade since he officially debuted in this sport, Bogdan Munteanu has continuously improved herself, so that today he is one of the serious competitors of his county, and not only when we talk about the marathon stages of the province of Moldova. 

County prizes in all marathon categories

        Bogdan Munteanu has done very well since the first years of competition, but the last three seasons have been extremely "rich" in trophies. With very good finishes at all the stages he participated in with his pigeons, the marathoner from Botosani managed to become county champion, or at least rank in the top three in the county, in almost all categories.

Very good arrivals at the Berlin International 2023 stage. 2nd place in breeders on release

         In the 2023 season, one of Bogdan Munteanu's best stages was Berlin International. At this competition, the pigeon fancier from Botosani baskted six pigeons, of which he managed to place three. But this is not all. Ranking 21st and 69th in the entire release, out of 8,937 pigeons, the first two birds to arrive at his loft brought him second place among breeders, out of 1,397 participants.

        It should be mentioned that for Bogdan Munteanu, the Berlin International stage had a distance of 1,159 km, and at the level of the province of Moldova, his pigeons ranked 3rd, 47th and 513rd out of 3,574 pigeons, while among breeders, in the same protocol, Bogdan Munteanu won first place out of 454 participants.

Simple and productive

         Bogdan Munteanu's results are not at all the result of coincidences. Over time, he perfected his own system of flight, selection and training-recovery, which he follows "to the letter". Bogdan's loft consists of four compartments, where 20 breeding couples, 30 widowed males and the same number of females, as well as 80 youngsters, have their place. The flyers are competed simply and efficiently, Bogdan using the classic widow through rotation all season. At the same time, however, it is very important that his cocks are baskted as calmly as possible.

         The chicks must participate in at least one half-distance stage, some even in the long distance, and at the end of the year, all Bogdan's pigeons go through an extensive selection process, both the remaining youngsters or flyers and the breeders.

         Among the lines from which Bogdan Munteanu's pigeons come, we mention the Kipp Family and Koers Karl Heinz, in the case of most breeders, but also some infusions, from breeders such as Frans Bungeneers, Jan Poloder, Cor de Heijde or Bernd Morsnowsky.
