        As in the case of all the groups in the country, the Bihor Branch organized the first speed competition of the new competitive season, a competition that gathered only a little over 5213 pigeons from a number of 126 participating pigeon fanciers.

        The launch took place in the Hungarian town of Torokszentmiklos, where the competitors of the 5 participating centers "battled" for a top spot in the general ranking.

        Regarding the weather conditions at the time of the launch, they did not influence the winner of the contest, the weather being sunny and the wind almost non-existent, which blew from the side at only 5 km/h.

        The first pigeon found on the general ranking recorded a speed of 1451 m/min, side by side with the pigeon located on the second step of the ranking. Both belonged to a well-known breeder, Bondar Andrei.

        His passion for the short distance categories make him an outstanding pigeon fancier in terms of training, motivating and conditioning pigeons. Although he mostly pays attention to these types of competitions, in 2016 only one step separated him from winning the Berlin National competition.

        As an origin, the first pigeon that arrived carries in its blood pigeons from Horvath Karoly, respectively Paul Popovici, pigeons that in the past also gave the exact time in Bihor county. The grandfather is a good breeder who has demonstrated his qualities in the past, breeding among others the pigeon RO 15-901014, which in 2016 was on the third step of the provincial podium in the Young Speed ​​category.

        As for the second pigeon that arrived, it has the origins of Gebr pigeons. Janssen x Gaby Vandenabeele being a direct descendant of the 7th Semifinal place in the Columbodrome Grand Prix Arad.

         The following pigeons found were on the 6th, 9th and 10th place respectively, thus Bondar Andrei could be proud of 5 pigeons in the top 10 on the general ranking.
