The National Race from Argenton has already become a tradition like the rest of the national races in the KBDB championship, which gathers all the VIPs of the Belgian pigeon fancier at the start, but especially new challenges that keep all pigeon fanciers under tension.
Decades of tradition, but especially the burning desire to score in this race and remain in history, generates an impressive number of mature pigeons and yearlings year after year.
This year, only a little less than 39,313 pigeons took the start of this race, of which 13,103 were mature, respectively 17,210 yearlings. Although at the time of embarkation a wind from the southeast was announced, on the morning of the launch it was practically imperceptible.
The runner-up of this race with yearling pigeons is the famous Chris Debacker, the well-known breeder of the Leie region in West Flanders.
For this reason, the beginning of the season was more than furious, being weekly in the "eyesight" of the biggest profile sites for the results obtained both in the races with mature pigeons and yearlings.
The first pigeon found by it, the one that occupied the second position of the national ranking within the yearling pigeons, is a male reproduced from its basic pigeons, brother to several 1st place winners.
Moreover, this is the grandson of some of the best breeders of the "Salomez" x "Gradson Prince Rudy" kennel.
Regarding the flight method, it has been competed in the widow since the beginning of the pigeon season.
Without a doubt, the spectacular results obtained week after week in the provincial and more recently national races, I can call Chris Debacker the man of the moment in West Flanders.
