The 2024 season has already reached the stage of the Long distance races in most pigeon-loving branches in Romania. This is also the case of the Arad Branch, where on June 6th the Jihlava stage was held, and on June 15th the second distance race of this season took place, starting from the town of Tabor, Czech Republic.
For the first Long Distance competition in 2024, Jihlava, Czech Republic, 126 pigeon fanciers from Arad county entered the competition, who entered no less than 5,513 pigeons in the race. Their launch took place at 08:05, the pigeons have a distance between approximately 540 and 560 km. Even though it was a Long distance stage, the competition was not very difficult, the speeds of the first pigeons arriving were quite high.
Eugen Stoica will debut with the right in 2024
Eugen Stoica from Arade is one of the best-known pigeon fanciers in this county. In recent years, Eugen Stoica has had downright remarkable results in the Long distance category, where he is a multiple national champion, and we can say that he has made his debut in the 2024 season as well. The statement is based on the fact that Eugen Stoica is the one who won the Jihlava stage, the first long-distance competition in Arad county, thus respecting its champion status. For this result, Eugen Stoica was helped by male RO-2022-2005559, who arrived at 14:37:93. He covered the 550 km of the stage with an average speed of 1,401.18 m/min.
At the same time, Eugen Stoica also occupies the third place in the ranking of breeders. He managed to rank 26 of the 43 pigeons he entered in this competition, obtaining the coefficient of 31.56 penalty points.
First place on the second race
At the second long distance race of the season, starting from the town of Tabor, Eugen Stoica's performance was just as good. This time, the stage was jointly organized with breeders from Timiș County, with 5,871 pigeons and 217 fanciers participating. In the ranking of the pigeons, Eugen Stoica takes the 8th and 9th places, with two pigeons arriving "second". Fortunately for him, the two pigeons were among the five team pigeons, so Eugen Stoica obtained the best score in the breeders, awarding him first place on the release.
So, a more than perfect start for the pigeon fancier from Arad, Eugen Stoica, who we know is a great fan of the Fund and who takes this year a very serious option in the fight for national trophies.
