Maria and Iosif Enache, a family of champions

 The Columbophile branch of Ialomița County is not one of the largest groups in the country. Instead, year after year, it produces more and more national-level fanciers, in different distance categories. For these reasons, today we will present to you some of the best pigeon fanciers of this county, if not the best in categories I and II.

 If we study the national catalog of the 2023 season, we will notice that in the Speed ​​and Middle Distance categories, as well as in their derivatives, two names appear with a very high frequency. The fanciers we are referring to are Iosif and Maria Enache.

National champions in three categories, plus three other national trophies

It should be stated from the beginning that both Maria Enache and Iosif Enache have different competition titles, identical to their names, that is, they do not form a team. In the 2023 season, just over 100 pigeons were competed in the name of Iosif Enache, while 22 pigeons were entered in the name of Maria Enache, in the first speed stage of the season. As expected, we are talking about the same loft, of the Iosif family, but with pigeons divided into two teams. Regarding the flight categories, it should also be noted that the Enache family are among the few pigeon fanciers specializing only in Speed ​​and Middle Distance, categories in which they won six national trophies last season alone. Thus, in the Speed ​​category, the two won the national title for both Old Birds and Fanciers. In the As Middle Distance Old Birds category, Iosif and Maria Enache climbed the national podium together, occupying the 1st and 2nd places. In addition, the two are also on the national podium in the Middle Distance Yearlings (second place) and Middle Distance Fanciers (third place) categories.

Three Olympic pigeons in the same season

 In addition to the very good results in the national championship, the Iosif family also achieved three national top 3 Olympic standards with three different pigeons. The first Olympic pigeon is in category A (Speed ​​Palmares), the second is in category G (Yearlings), and the third in category H (Mature). Given that these pigeons are also awarded nationally, in addition to participating in the Olympics, there are no less than nine national trophies won by the Iosif family in the 2023 season alone.
