For the members of the Bistrita-Nasaud group, the date of May 3 was the organization of the second speed stage of the flight plan of the season with mature pigeons.
The launch took place from the town of Valea lui Mihai and gathered at the start a number of 1496 pigeons that belonged to the 43 members of the Bistrita center. The weather at the time of the launch was good and the wind almost non-existent without determining in any way the winner of the contest.
The protagonist of this stage is none other than Otvos Alexandru, a well-known character at the provincial level who this time managed to occupy the first 4 positions of the ranking.
The first pigeon found, the 1st place holder on the general ranking, is a female bred from the basic pigeons that Otvos Alexandru has had since his student days, combined with pigeons from Holland by Leo Heremans x Ad Scharlekaens. As a flight system, this female was competed for widowhood, but an atypical widow at the time of the contest, raising several chicks.
As for the female occupying the 2nd place, she was found in the same second as the female in the 1st place, practically the flight speed being the same. As the origin is the granddaughter of the famous female "744" occupying the 2nd place National General Palmares 2022 of the champion Carcu Mircea from Bistrita.
,, From the point of view of pigeon-loving results, I can say that from 2010 until now, I have always been present in the Top 3 counties in different categories, culminating with the 1st place Gold Fund - Transylvania Province. Surely this would not have been possible without the support of my mentor and pigeon-loving friend Pop V. Daniel (the Painter)'' - Otvos Alexandru told us.
As thoughts for the future, although he practices pigeon racing for pleasure, he still wants to remain in the Top 3 in his favorite categories, and last but not least, to thank his friend and mentor Pop V. Daniel once again for the pigeons offered as a gift.
