In the 2024 season, pigeon fanciers from the Bucharest Branch compete on three competition plans, all in the North direction, towards Poland. On plan 1, pigeon fanciers from the "Triumf" and "Rândunica" clubs compete approximately 70 breeders.
The first stage of the 2024 season, on plan 1, took place on May 5, with the pigeons being released from the town of Focșani, Vrancea county. The second stage was organized on May 11, starting from the town of Tecuci, Galați county, and the third stage took place on May 19, starting from the town of Bârlad, Vaslui county.
Radu Constantin ranks 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th in the ranking of pigeons and 1st place breeders
The Focșani race was won in an authoritative manner by Radu Constantin, the new Olympian of our country in the Long distance category. At this stage, 2,512 pigeons were employed, the winner Radu Constantin employing 22 pigeons. For this, the race had a distance of 157 km. The pigeons were launched at 08:30, and Radu Constantin achieved the performance of occupying the first nine places on the launch. The first of the nine pigeons that occupy the first nine places of the ranking arrived at Radu Constantin's loft at 10:28:49, being recorded in just 26 seconds. The speed of the first pigeon recorded was 1,329.11 m/min, also being one of the team pigeons. In the same batch of nine pigeons that arrived at the same time was the second team pigeon of the Bucharest pigeon fancier. He ranked 4th on the launch, so Radu Constantin also won 1st place among breeders, out of 69 participants, with a coefficient of only 1.99 penalty points. At the same time, it is also spectacular that 20 of the 22 pigeons employed by Radu Constantin in this competition managed to rank.

The very good performance of Radu Constantin's pigeons continued at the second competition of the season, Tecuci, where 2,691 pigeons were entered and 69 breeders participated. This time, Radu Constantin occupied "only" the first four places on the launch, with four pigeons arriving at the same time, respectively at 10:51:14. The distance of this competition was 183 km for Radu Constantin, and as the pigeons were launched at 07:45, the pigeon that occupied the 1st place on the launch had a speed of 1,456.67 m/min.
As in the previous competition, the pigeons on the 1st and 4th places on the release were among the team pigeons, so that Radu Constantin won the first position of the breeders' ranking this time as well.
