Radu Prigoreanu, the Moldovan marathoner with national and international results

 Radu Prigoreanu is from Deleni, Iași county, and works as a pigeon fancier member of the Iași Branch. He is only passionate about marathon, especially extreme marathon, and has already collected a lot of national trophies. He managed to add several national champion, vice-champion and national top 3 titles to his record, and last year he took 1st place in the World Best Pigeon championship, organized by the International Columbophile Federation, Super Marathon category. All these results classify him, rightly, as one of the best marathoners in Romania at the present time.

 Since 2008, when he has been competing, Radu Prigoreanu has obtained the title of national champion three times. He awarded his supreme national trophy in Extreme Marathon, Fanciers Marathon and Fanciers Marathon 3 years. Four more times he was national vice-champion and three more times he ranked 3rd Nationally, all these results being obtained at Marathon, Ace Marathon and Fanciers Marathon. But, of course, one of the best results of her entire career is that achieved by the female Cherry, national champion in the 2022 Extreme Mature Marathon category and 1st place in the World Best Pigeon championship, Super Marathon category. Beyond his results, it is also worth mentioning Radu Prigoreanu's best reference so far: 2nd place National Ace Marathon 3 years, obtained by Vlad Voicu, from Iași, with a 50% Radu Prigoreanu pigeon.

A loft based on very good racers

 Despite expectations, Radu Prigoreanu's pigeons are not based on countless pigeons from established lines. He preferred to breed from pigeons with very good results from his breeding, pigeons based on, among others, an original male and female Piet Lazeroms, and which were able to compete at a very high level in the marathon stages. One of these pigeons is the female Elisabeth, who managed to place 3rd National Marathon 3 years old and 4th National Youngsters Marathon. His sister, Pigey, achieved 2nd place in the National Youngsters Marathon, and other very good rankings, ranking six marathon stages in two years. Another pigeon retired for breeding is the male Zoro, the brother of the two very good flyers already mentioned, the 13th place holder of the National As Marathon. Over time, more pigeons were added to them that stood out due to their very good rankings at the marathon stages and that today are part of the breeders compartment of Radu Prigoreanu's breeding.

 As a method of flight, Radu Prigoreanu uses natural, but only for extreme marathon stages. At the beginning of the season, the 60-70 pigeons that are part of the flight group compete separately, and only at the first extreme are they competed from the nest.
