After the 2024 season with old and yearlings pigeons, the new national champions of the Yearlings Speed category are fanciers Ciprian Glodan and Balasz Haidu from Maramures. Friends in everyday life, the two breeders joined forces on the pigeon fancier level starting in 2023 and, in a very short time, they managed to perform at the highest level.
Therefore, Ciprian Goldana and Balasz Haidu form the pigeon fancier tandem "Ciprian Glodan&Haidu B.", being members of the Maramureș Branch. Although they are a team, very few pigeons compete for a tandem, the flight team each year consisting of 30-35 flyers. It practices total widowhood, for the whole season, and targets all categories with distances from 100 to 700 km.
National Champions in the Yearlings Speed category
After a very good 2023 debut season, with several county and provincial trophies, the tandem "Ciprian Glodan&Haidu B." managed in the 2024 season to climb the highest step of the national podium in the Yearlings Speed category. The champion is the young cock with the series RO-2023-0579175 who had a perfect performance. He established himself in the national top of the category with 5 places of 1 per release, being the author of one of the most categorical victories in the history of this category. His final score was just 3.27 penalty points.
From the point of view of the genetic origins, the tandem champion is reproduced from two pigeons purchased from the multiple national champion Gabriel Robaș, the mother being an inbred female on the line of "Pokerface" of Andreas Drapa, and the father a cock from the line of "Super As", original pigeon Cristian Kusmic.
