The "Bușe Brothers" tandem is made up of fanciers Daniel and Alin Bușe, from Comanda, Mehedinți county. They have been competing for a good few years, especially for all one-day races, becoming two of the top pigeon fanciers in their county.
Even though it is far from over, the 2024 season is already a good one for the Buse Brothers. They started with a team of 70 widows and after two first "preparation" stages came the first 1st place in the contest of this competitive year. Two weeks later they won another race, so we can say that their track record has already been enriched, even if only 5 races have been held so far.
1st place out of 10,325 pigeons
The pigeon fanciers from Mehedinți county launched their pigeons for the third stage of the competition from the town of Vadu Anei, Bucharest, from where they had distances of 250-300 km. At the same time, they employed a significant number of 10,325 pigeons, which were released at 06:33. In this competition, the distance of the Bușe Brothers was 255.483 km, and they were the very first breeders to register a pigeon that arrived from the race. The male with the series RO-2023-0318475 arrived at 09:30:08, developing an average speed of 1,442.32 m/min. It was the best performance of the race, so the male of the Bușe Brothers became the winner of the contest at the end of the ranking.
Winners in the second middle distance race as well
On June 2, 2024, the same pigeon fanciers from Mehedinți hired 8,300 pigeons for the second middle distance race of the season. The launch location was Măicănești, Galați county, the pigeons being released at 06:01. Due to the headwind, the Măicănești stage was the hardest so far, this season, the pigeons arriving quite hard and with speeds much too low for this category of races. But, once again, the Bușe Brothers stood out, taking first place on the release with male RO-2022-3007541. He arrived at 11:28:33, having flown the 354.383 km of the stage with an average speed of only 1,081.92 m/min. But, this was not the only achievement. The Bușe Brothers are also in second place in the breeding ranking, out of 191 participants, with only 1.45 penalty points.
