The Dragotă Family+Plăvițu tandem dominated the first Speed races in the Gorj Branch

         The 2024 competition season also got off to an intense start in the Gorj Branch, where the first three speed stages have already been contested. At the same time, the competitions in this county are taking place on a new flight route for some pigeon fanciers, and this change, like the change in title, seems to have been auspicious for the Dragotă Family Loft.

      Starting with the 2024 season, Claudiu Dragotă, who competes under the title „Dragotă Famuly” started a collaboration with Liviu Plăvițu, the well-known pigeon fancier from Mehedinți, using the competition title "Dragotă Family+Plăvițu". A breed that competes for all categories, they started the 2024 season strongly, dominating the second and third stages. It should be noted that in 2024, half of the pigeon fanciers of Gorj County are competing in the South-East direction, towards the East of Bulgaria.

1st place on breeders release in stage 2, Alexandria (210 km)

        The first "good signs" of the season appeared at the Alexandria stage (210 km), a competition where the pigeons of the "Dragotă Family+Plăvițu" tandem arrived very well. They took 5th, 6th, 8th and 9th place in the race, out of 5,929 pigeons, in total ranking 29 out of 41 basketed. However, in the breeders classification, the tandem took first place, due to the fact that they made the team with the second and fifth pigeons that arrived in the loft, respectively the 6th and 22nd places on the release. Thus, they obtained only 4.72 penalty points, surpassing the entire competition of 118 participating pigeon fanciers.

Giurgiu (255 km), an even more successful race

         Four days later, at the Giurgiu stage (255 km), the tandem's performance was even better. They took, this time, the 1st and 2nd places on the launch (1,326, 96 m/min), out of 5,312 pigeons, but also the 9th, 11th, 12th and 13th places. How the pigeons on the 2nd and 9th places on the launch were among the team members, the Familia Dragotă+Plăvițu tandem won again this time the first place in breeders (114 participants), with only 2.07 penalty points. At the same time, the two placed 28 out of 41 pigeons entered, no less than 12 being in the first 100 pigeons per release.

        So, a brilliant start to the season for the tandem Familia Dragotă+Plăvițu, with three first places per release in two stages and with the most pigeons in the top 10 per release in each of the two competitions, a performance for which the two pigeon fansciers deserve all the appreciation .
