The Olympic category H is dedicated exclusively to mature pigeons and is achieved by ranking six races over 300 km. It is also mandatory that the cumulative distance of the six centralized races exceed a total of 1,800 km.
After the 2023 season, the Romanian pigeon fanciers who occupy the first three national places in this category are Nicolae Procop, Maria Enache and Marian Iancu.
Nicolae Procop, 1st place in the national Olympic team in H category
As in the category I presented to you previously, in the H category we have a national podium occupied only by females. The first olympian in this category belongs to Nicolae Procop, a pigeon fancier from Constanța, has the series RO-2021-0004579 and has accumulated a coefficient of 14.65 penalty points. This had an excellent evolution especially in the contests over 400 km. Incidentally, this is the distance at which he performed, having even the 1st place out of 683 pigeons (408 km) or the 7th place out of 4,713 pigeons (406 km). However, he also did very well at somewhat shorter distances, having, for example, the 1st place out of 6,535 pigeons at the distance of 286 km.
Maria Enache, again among the Olympians
In second place in the H category we find Mrs. Maria Enache, from the Ialomita Branch, who owns a new olympic pigeon, after the one in the A-Speed category. This time it is about female RO-2021-0002554, which obtained 20.94 penalty points for this category. But in this case we are talking about one of the best short stage pigeons in the country. In addition to the result in the H category, Maria Enache's female is a double national champion in the Midlle Distance and As Midlle Distance categories. The races with which he obtained the two national titles, as well as the participation in the Olympics, had a distance of 368 km.
Marian Iancu, the third Olympian of the category
The national podium of category H is completed by female RO-2021-0019326, competed by Marian Iancu, pigeon fancier from Giurgiu Branch. The coefficient obtained by it is 22.15 penalty points, but as an evolution in the centralized stages, it has the most spectacular performance. In 4 of the six stages he has the 1st place, but the number of pigeons is quite small. It is worth mentioning the 1st place out of 1,131 pigeons (316 km), but also the 3 three 1st places obtained at the distance of 630 km, against 859, 533 and 258 pigeons.
