Nicolae Tau adds to his record the 1st place at Dresda National 2024

On July 20, 2024, the Dresda National race took place, the first national marathon race of the West Province. The race was organized by the Arad Branch, Dresda National being a race for which 4,413 pigeons were entered, belonging to the 547 breeders who participated. These are the members of the Arad, Bihor, Harghita, Caraș Severin, Hunedoara, Mehedinți, Satu Mare, Sălaj, Maramureș and Timiș Branches.

The race was won with hen RO-2022-0051123. After all the pigeons entered were released at 06:41, Nicolae Tau's winner arrived at his loft at 19:21:50. So, it took more than 12 hours to fly the 817 km of the race. The speed was 1,074 m/min, an aspect that reveals the difficulty of the contest.
