Gheorghe Preda from Mărgăritești, Olt County, stands out as the most successful marathon pigeon fancier in Oltenia, with an impressive record of multiple national trophies. He owns one of the most valuable pigeons in Romania, the male with the ring number 0396008/2011, which has won numerous national and Olympic awards and has become the cornerstone of his breeding program.

Between 2000 and 2011, Gheorghe Preda achieved notable results at the county and national levels. However, starting from the 2012 season, he attained exceptional results at the national level, despite the small number of competing pigeons. That season, with a team of 24 pigeons, 13 met the standards in the Marathon category and 12 in the As Marathon category, including 10 yearlings and one late-bred pigeon, along with 2 mature pigeons.

In the 2012 season, Preda achieved remarkable results, including 2nd place nationally in the Young Marathon category with pigeon 396008-2011, and placements of 9th, 11th, and 14th in the same category, 2nd place nationally in the Extreme Young Marathon, and placements in the top 20 in various categories. In 2013, pigeon 396008-2011 brought the greatest achievements of his career, including 1st place in the Olympic Team Category E Marathon and multiple national titles, such as 1st place in both Marathon Palmares and Extreme Marathon Palmares.

Gheorghe Preda has built a remarkable career in pigeon racing, consistently maintaining a top national position from 2012 to the present, with 7 national champion titles, 10 national vice-champion titles, and 7 consecutive years on the national podium. Preda is a prime example of passion, hard work, and dedication, demonstrating that national excellence can be achieved through seriousness and quality pigeons.

Transportation costs (both domestic and international) will be paid directly to the carriers.

The transportation rates are as follows

• International transport: 250 RON (50 EUR) per pigeon, for deliveries outside Romania.
• External transport: 125 RON (25 EUR) per pigeon for deliveries from Europe to Romania.
• Home delivery: 250 RON (50 EUR) per pigeon.
• Domestic transport within Romania: 75 RON (15 EUR) per pigeon.

Pigeons will be delivered only to county residences, except in cases where the buyer's residence is more than 25 km away from the designated meeting point. In such cases, the courier will recalculate the cost and arrange delivery within the 25 km radius.

Meetings on the roadside, at roundabouts, intersections, etc., are excluded.

The courier is required to notify the buyer one day before delivery and again 1.5 to 2 hours before arriving at the meeting point. Upon request and for an additional cost of 5 RON, pigeons can be delivered in a cardboard box.

Delivery times:

• 1-7 days from the date of collection for deliveries within Romania.
• 1-10 days for international deliveries.

Working hours:
Monday - Sunday, from 07:00 to 23:00.

During transportation, the pigeons are considered the property of the courier, who is directly responsible for their well-being. If a pigeon does not meet clinical standards (is unhealthy or weak), the courier is obligated to refuse collection from the seller and immediately inform the auction site's management. Any issues caused by the courier will be financially compensated by them.
