He owns one of the most valuable pigeons in Romania, the male with the ring number 0396008/2011, which has won numerous national and Olympic awards and has become the cornerstone of his breeding program.
Between 2000 and 2011, Gheorghe Preda achieved notable results at the county and national levels. However, starting from the 2012 season, he attained exceptional results at the national level, despite the small number of competing pigeons. That season, with a team of 24 pigeons, 13 met the standards in the Marathon category and 12 in the As Marathon category, including 10 yearlings and one late-bred pigeon, along with 2 mature pigeons.
In the 2012 season, Preda achieved remarkable results, including 2nd place nationally in the Young Marathon category with pigeon 396008-2011, and placements of 9th, 11th, and 14th in the same category, 2nd place nationally in the Extreme Young Marathon, and placements in the top 20 in various categories. In 2013, pigeon 396008-2011 brought the greatest achievements of his career, including 1st place in the Olympic Team Category E Marathon and multiple national titles, such as 1st place in both Marathon Palmares and Extreme Marathon Palmares.
Gheorghe Preda has built a remarkable career in pigeon racing, consistently maintaining a top national position from 2012 to the present, with 7 national champion titles, 10 national vice-champion titles, and 7 consecutive years on the national podium.
